A qualified accountant who understands the company behind the return.

Fasih Khan is ACCA qualified, AAT licensed and based in Luton. Fiscal Umbrella works with growing limited companies across the UK, with particular experience in e-commerce VAT, technology companies, professional services and construction.

Why Fiscal Umbrella started

The firm grew from a simple gap Fasih kept seeing in practice.

Fiscal Umbrella started in Luton in 2025 after Fasih Khan had spent more than nine years in UK accountancy practice. He had seen the same gap across growing companies: the forms were submitted, yet nobody stopped to check whether the VAT scheme, reliefs, payroll or way the director took money still made sense.

Fasih built Fiscal Umbrella so compliance and tax advice would sit together. The firm handles year-end accounts, corporation tax, VAT, payroll and bookkeeping, then checks the decisions around them. Specialist work such as e-commerce VAT, SEIS and EIS, R&D, patent box and salary and dividend planning stays in house with the same qualified person who understands the company.

Today, Fiscal Umbrella works with online sellers, technology founders, professional services directors and larger construction companies. Most work is handled remotely across the UK, with meetings in Luton by appointment. The firm keeps its client fit narrow so Fasih can stay close to the work and give advice before the next VAT return, funding round, payroll decision or year end.

What guides the work

These are practical rules for how the firm deals with advice, fees and the companies it takes on.

  • The fee is agreed before work starts

Every proposal sets out the work and the fixed fee in writing. If the scope changes, that conversation happens first. A client can approve the work without wondering what the next invoice will contain.

  • Advice arrives while there is time to act

A salary decision, VAT scheme or funding round cannot be fixed well by a note attached to old accounts. Fiscal Umbrella raises the question during the year, while the director can still choose what happens next.

  • Specialist tax work stays in house

SEIS and EIS advance assurance, R&D, patent box and e-commerce VAT are handled by the same qualified person who understands the year end. The technical work remains connected to the company and the return that goes to HMRC.

  • The fit gets checked before anyone commits

Fiscal Umbrella is built for growing limited companies that can share information on time and use the recommended software. The intake checks that fit first, so the working relationship starts with agreed expectations on both sides.
